04 The Production Technician is responsible for all production and production related activities during the shift and to maintain high morale and work standards and achieve company goals.
Responsibilities:
The production technicians in Heath are characterized into three groups.
For all production positions, it is understood that all will be responsible for housekeeping of work areas, assisting with clean downs, adherence to Quality standards, following proper safety procedures, wearing the proper personal protection equipment, waste and yield loss control, understanding of LOTO / JSHA and ISO guidelines, completion of all paperwork, proper material handling procedures, following good manufacturing practices, and coverage of the other positions for breaks, lunches, and vacation/sick as deemed necessary by the supervisor.
Cutter - responsible for working in the Cutter Room, this job will cover accurately weighing small component ingredients, labeling cut packages for each blend, and associated paperwork for all products.
Blender -responsible for blending the cut ingredients, bulk ingredients and resin according to the mixing guidelines.
This also includes proper identification of the blends.
Responsible for discharging into super sack or drum and staging on mezzanine.
Responsible for hanging and discharging sacks above feeders and changing when empty.
Responsible for cleaning of blender and resin handling system.
Extruder Operator - will operate extruders, troubleshoot, handle clean downs, make packaging labels, build packaging, handle repacks, move FG packages to staging area, do PPG SPC, housekeeping, process optimization, completing production paperwork, setting up and documenting SOCs.
EDUCATION AND
Experience:
High school diploma required Extruder operator experience preferred Manufacturing experience 2-5 yrs.

Wear and properly utilize appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) in all areas where it is required.
This includes hard hat, safety glasses, ear plugs, steel-toed boots, protective gloves, and/or other protective equipment as required by the work performed and location the work is being done.
Be capable of walking, stepping, climbing or otherwise moving from one location on the job site to another, sometimes using steps or ladders.
Be able to work in adverse temperatures.
Be able to sit or stand for extended periods of time.
